Front-end loader safety rules

Front-end loaders are versatile and useful and can be mounted on any tractor. However, improper operation of a tractor-loader combination can be dangerous. Raising the loader will cause the center of gravity to rise, which will affect the stability of the tractor. Failure to follow the guidelines in the owner's manual may cause the tractor to tip over.

Always refer to the owner's manual and safety booklet for proper equipment use. When using a loader, follow the "slow and steady" rule.

Before using a loader

Only mount a loader designed and approved by the tractor manufacturer.

Do not use a loader for fence post removal, towing, or demolition.

Before underground excavation, check underground utilities.

Use ballast or wheel weights to properly balance the tractor and loader.

Adjust the wheels to the widest possible position for increased stability.

Read the owner's manuals for the tractor and loader carefully.

Use the loader only for the operations specified in its specifications.

Use ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) and wear a seat belt.

When using a loader:

Do not exceed the recommended load capacity. To prevent tipping, load the bucket evenly and make sure the bucket is filled with enough material.

Transport cargo at a low height and speed. Do not move or swing cargo over people in the work area.

Always operate the loader from the driver's seat and do not walk or work under the loader lift unless the loader is securely fixed or locked in place.

When loading cargo on a slope, drive forward when going uphill and reverse when going downhill.

When the loader is finished, remove the bucket before performing other work (such as plowing).

After using the loader:

When parking, lower the loader to the ground.

When performing maintenance, turn off the engine and release the hydraulic system.

Make sure the loader is balanced and stable when disassembled and park it on a solid, level surface.
